What it's for

GuideBox comes with no channels; you add your own playlist. So that a link into the app (a Roku deep link) has something to play before any playlist has been added, the app has one built-in sample: this film. Deep link with contentId=big-buck-bunny and mediaType=live. It is never added to the guide, and once you have your own channels it only plays when asked for by that link.

Licence and source

• The Blender Foundation releases Big Buck Bunny under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0, which allows anyone to share and show it, commercially too, with credit: see peach.blender.org/about.
• The stream is made from the Foundation's own file, download.blender.org/peach/bigbuckbunny_movies/big_buck_bunny_720p_h264.mov.zip, by demo/make_sample.sh. The only changes are the format (720p HLS) and the audio (5.1 mixed down to stereo). The film is complete, end credits included.
• The credit above is shown in the app whenever the sample's info panel is up.
